Concord Point lighthouse is a really beautiful lighthouse sitting right next to the water in Havre De Grace, MD. I am a fan of lighthouses so if I find one, as long as my camera is in hand, it feels like I’ve won the lottery.
Believe it or not, 4th of July weekend was my first time visiting Havre De Grace – even after living in Maryland for so long. I picked a great time to see it because the fireworks show they put on was incredible. It’s a quaint little bay town that sure knows how to put on a celebration – and it draws a tremendous crowd! How did I not know about this earlier?
Concord Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses on the east coast that runs continuously. It’s even open to the public for viewing from April to October so if you happen to stop by – be sure to check it out! Oh and be sure to walk the promenade, a long boarded walkway along the edge of the water.
